In 1985, Dr. Mitch Ruda, a NASA astrophysicist and optical engineer, was working on a project for NASA when he had a simple idea: What if we used the protective coatings that protect satellites from radiation to protect our eyes from the sun?
Dr. Ruda took the NASA-developed protective coating that protects satellite windows from space radiation and applied it to a pair of sunglasses to protect our eyes. With this revolutionary discovery, Revo was born.
